ANSON COUNTY — Food Lion Feeds helped support families in Anson County on Wednesday, July 8, following a major water main break that occurred Tuesday, July 7, along U.S. Highway 74 East near Wadesboro.
The Ahold Delhaize USA Distribution Center in Salisbury, N.C., transported 8 pallets of 24-pack bottled water to the Food Lion store located at 1043 E. Caswell St. in Wadesboro, N.C. The donation provided more than 670 cases of water to local families impacted by the advisory.
Food Lion associates, the Wadesboro Police Department and the Anson County Sheriff’s Office helped distribute the water to families at the store.
