PEACHLAND — Mitchell Lynn “Smiley” Carpenter, 56, passed away on Nov. 24, 2012 at CMC Main.

He was born in Guilford County on Jan. 25, 1956. He was a pipefitter.

He was preceded in death by his father, Austin R. Carpenter Sr., and one niece.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at Peachland Baptist Church. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in the Peachland City Cemetery.

He is survived by his mother, Betty B. Rogers, and his stepfather, Bob Rogers of Stanfield, as well as his two brothers, Ross Carpenter and Randy Carpenter and wife, Rhonda, all of Peachland.
