Even though the Wadesboro Police Department has its own Christmas program, “Shop with a Cop,” interim Police Chief Thedis Spencer came to the kickoff of Toys For Tots and stated he wanted the officers to be a part of this great program. The Wadesboro Police Department not only donated toys, they also donated funds to help purchase toys and volunteered to help deliver to the families that could not come pick their toys up. Anson County’s Toys for Tots coordinator Vancine Sturdivant stated, “That is what Christmas is all about, the love of Jesus. Ansonians share their love for others all year long.”
