Violet Usrey Lee, 87, died Sept. 1, 2010 at Hospice of Union County in Monroe.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Sept. 4 at Lilesville Baptist Church with the Rev. Teddy Lawson officiating. Interment followed in Lilesville Cemetery.
The family greeted friends one hour prior to the services at the church and other times at the home.
Her husband, John Austin Lee, her daughters, Berta Carol Alossi and Linda Tarlton and her brother, Henry “Sonny” Usrey, preceded her in death.
Lee was born Dec. 15, 1922 in Anson County to the late Thomas Brooks Usrey and the late Berta Henry Usrey. She was retired from Wadesboro Nursing Home as administrator.
Surviving are her brother, Tom Usrey Jr. and wife, Toma of Palm Harbor, Fla.
