The Wadesboro Police Department are searching for a man who they say fired shots at an occupied vehicle.
Marcus Antonio Allen allegedly fired at another man's vehicle after he got into an argument with the man at the Food Mart on Salisbury Street at 9:20 p.m. Aug. 28. The vehicle was struck but no one was injured, according to a statement from Wadesboro Police Chief Janie Schutz.
Allen, 22, has been charged with five felony counts of shooting into an occupied property, one count of possession of a firearm by a felon and one count of damage to property. Schutz said Tuesday morning he is in hiding.
The police have entered his information into a national database, which will show him as wanted anywhere in the country.
"The Wadesboro Police Department is prepared to travel anywhere in the country to pick this young man up," she said. "He has a long criminal history and is one of the main individuals that continue to try to terrorize the good people in the Salisbury Street area. He will not succeed and this police department will find him."
She said there is a small reward for information that could lead to his capture.
"I want people to know that Mr. Allen's days on the run are numbered and that we always get our man," she said. "Justice will prevail."
