Anson County Sheriff’s Deputies have arrested two individual in the theft of a number of four-wheelers.

Seven stolen four-wheelers have been recovered and were returned to their owners on Thursday, Aug. 19.

Officers arrested Richard Lee Richardson Jr., 21, of Morven. Richardson is charged with four counts of larceny and was placed in the Anson County Jail under a $5,000 bond.

Also arrested was Denzell Flowers, 17, also of Morven, who was charged with four counts of larceny. A juvenile petition was also filed on a 15-year-old.

Anson County Sheriff Tommy Allen said that a number of four-wheelers/ATVs have been stolen recently. In this case, these were mostly taken for joy riding. Others, however, are often sold and disposed of outside of the county.

The sheriff urged owners to keep their vehicles inside building when possible, removing the keys and adding extra locks as well.

All suspects have court dates for Sept. 20.
