The couple's children are Wesley Goins and Susan Goins-Eplee and husband, Kelly. Their grandchildren are Rachael, Addie, Annie and Jack.
Mr. Goins was a teacher at Reynolds High School for five years before beginning a 27-year career in pharmaceutical sales with Bristol-Meyers Squibb. Mrs. Goins retired from the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools, where she was a teacher and curriculum specialist.
Mr. and Mrs. Goins were married by Rev. Dewey Hobbs and Rev. Max Reece at Deep Creek Baptist Church on Aug. 21, 1960.
