Anson County Commissioner Claude Spencer, left, and Vancine Sturdivant, center, helped organize last year's Back to School with Pride event at Lilesville's Hatcher Park. Local kids, counterclockwise from left, Ashley Greene, J'Nyus Davis and Adwyn Gaddy visited the event, along with J'Nyus's and Adwyn's mom, Sherlise Clark Gaddy.

The project provides supplies and uniforms to over 300 kids and four schools in the Anson, Richmond and Union County area.
The Back to School with Pride is open to the less fortunate youth of all diversities.
