Soua Her Vang, 90, of Polkton died on Saturday, July 3, 2010 at her home.
There will be memorial services on both Friday and Saturday, July 23 and 24, at 3 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. Saturday at Leavitt Funeral Home in Wadesboro.
Vang was born on Jan. 5, 1920 in Xieng Khouong, Laos. She and family left Laos to move to Thailand after the United States withdrew its troops from Southeast Asia in 1975. Vang and family came to this country as refugees in 1978.
Surviving are her husband, Yang S. Vang, 92, of Polkton; her three sons and families in Polkton; two daughter and families in Polkton; one son and family in Charlotte; one daughter and family in Charlotte; one daughter and family in Saint Paul, Minn.; and one sister and family in Laos.
