Anson County Sheriff’s Deputies are investigating a car jacking that occurred in Ansonville around 4:45 a.m. on Monday, June 28.

Anson County Sheriff Tommy Allen said that the car jacking is believed to be related to an armed robbery that had just occurred in Wadesboro at the Waffle House. “The suspects are similar and the timing is right," he said. "Fortunately, no one was injured in either incident.”

Allen said that a vehicle found by sheriff’s deputies several miles from the scene of the car jacking was reported stolen from Charlotte. The suspects in the car jacking were described as four black males, one with distinguishable dreadlocks; one had on a white “hoodie.” The suspects left Ansonville heading north on Highway 52. The sheriff said that these suspects should be considered armed and dangerous. The car jack victim was not physically injured.

Anyone with any information regarding this incident or the Waffle House robbery may call the Sheriff’s Crime Hotline at 704-695-3111 or go to the sheriff’s Web site at ansonsheriff.com and contact the Sheriff’s Office there. All information received will be confidential.
