Rebecca Ann Sims Cox, 63, died Thursday, May 27, 2010 at Sandhills Regional Medical Center in Hamlet.
Services were held at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 30, in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home with Rev. Tommy McKenzie officiating.
The family greeted friends for one hour prior to the service.
Rebecca was born Sept. 30, 1946 in Anson County, a daughter of the late Floyd Sims and the late Lydia Jane Collins Sims Thomas. She was a homemaker.
Surviving are her daughter, Rachel Thompson of Hamlet; her grandchildren, Shauna Andrews of Moorestown, Tenn., and Arawn Thompson of Hamlet; and her brothers and sisters, J.W. Sims of Marshville, David Sims of Rockingham, Vann Sims of Wadesboro, Lonnie Sims of Charlotte, James Thomas of Monroe and Shirley Davis and Brenda Stegall, both of Peachland.
