Last week, the FBI, Wadesboro Police Department, Anson County Sheriff's Office and other local and federal law enforcement agencies announced the arrest and indictments of 14 individuals in Anson County on various charges, including drug and firearm offenses.

At the time of a press conference held on Monday, May 24, one of the 14 suspects in question was still at large. He had still not been apprehended as of press time.

The Charlotte office of the FBI is now seeking the public's help in locating that individual— Robert “Bubba” Lamar Smith, 20, of Morven.

Smith’s last known address was 414 2nd St. in Morven, the FBI says.

He is charged with possession of a firearm by a felon and possession of a firearm that was not registered to him in the National Firearms Registration and Transfer Record. The gun in question is a 12-gauge pistol-grip shotgun.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call the FBI, 704-377-9200, or the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Violent Criminal Apprehension Team, 704-336-8228.
