In the first case, Lacy Mae Allen, a 56-year-old Wadesboro woman, was found in her kitchen on April 15, 2002 by her live-in boyfriend, who is now deceased. She had been shot to death. No arrests have been made in this case. There is a $6,000 reward for any information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the death of Allen.
In the second case, officers are asking for the public’s help in the case of Fred William Lookabill, a 71-year-old Wadesboro man who was found shot to death on the front porch of his residence, on the morning of April 2, 2007. No arrests have been made in this case either. There is a $7,000 reward for any information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the death of Lookabill.
Anson County Sheriff Tommy Allen said that hundreds of interviews have been conducted in both of these cases and thousands of man hours have been put in by both his department and the SBI. “At this time we have very little to go on in either of these cases," Sheriff Allen said. "But someone out there knows who murdered these two individuals. We are hoping that someone will come forward with that one small missing piece of the puzzle we need to close both of these cases.”
Anyone with any information on either of these two cases can call the Sheriff’s Office at 704-694-4188 at any time. All information will remain confidential.
