Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Dec. 9 at Smith's Memorial Chapel. Interment followed the service at West Deep Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
He was born in Greensboro July 24, 1957, to the late Ben and Violet Sellers. He was a member of Saint Paul Baptist Church in Greensboro.
He rededicated his life to Christ through a spiritual reconnection by way of Pastor Nathaniel Williams, the pastor of Seed of Faith Ministry in Greensboro.
He attended James B. Dudley High School and continued his education at Medical Careers Institute. He also served as a parent volunteer for James B. Dudley High School's wrestling team.
He is survived by two children, Violet and Alexander Sellers; brothers, Mr. and Mrs. Larion Sellers (Faye) of Greensboro, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Sellers Sr. (JoAnna) of Stone Mountain, Ga., Benjamin Byers of Charlotte, Mr. and Mrs. Larry Sellers (Brenda) of Newport News, Va. and Mr. and Mrs. George Sellers (Wilamina) of Lancaster, S.C.; sister, Mary Davis of Charlotte; aunts and uncle, Mattie Sellers Bryant and husband, Jay Bryant of Greensboro, Christine Sellers and family of Warrenton; and a host of other relatives and friends.
The services are in the care of Smith's Funeral Directors.
