Margaret Knotts Warner, 79, went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, Nov. 21, 2009, while a resident at Lillie Bennett Nursing Center.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 25, at Faith Baptist Church with Rev. Bob Wells and Rev. Curtis Williams officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will greet friends Tuesday from 5-7 p.m. at Leavitt Funeral Home.
Margaret was born July 8, 1930, in Anson County, a daughter of the late William and Kate Crump Knotts. She was retired from Zimmer Mfg. and was a member of Faith Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Robert M. “Bobby” Warner; her son, Robert M. Warner Jr.; her granddaughter, Amy Trexler; and her brothers and sister, James, W.T. and Anderson Knotts and Mary Carpenter.
Surviving are her daughters and sons-in-law, Janet and Dennis Rushing of Wilmington, Joyce and Butch Burr of Wadesboro, Kathy and Donnie Trexler of Kernersville and Tami Kinman of Wilmington; her brother and sister, Jackie Knotts and Louise Jones both of Wadesboro; and her 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Faith Baptist Church, 3560 Stanback Ferry Ice Plant Road, Wadesboro, NC 28170.
