Stanton “Stan” Allen Sims, 34, died Oct. 23, 2009, in Stanly County.
Private graveside services were held Oct. 26 at Lilesville Cemetery. Friends called on the family Sunday afternoon at the home.
He was born Jan. 4, 1975, in Anson to Dr. James “Jimmy” Vernon Sims and Ann Terry Sims. He was a graduate of Anson High School.
Surviving are his parents, Dr. Jimmy and Ann Sims of Polkton; his maternal grandparents, James and Rosa Lee Terry of Wadesboro; his aunt and uncle, Benny and Gilda Galliher of Wadesboro; and two cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Anson Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 147, Wadesboro, NC 28170 or to the local community rescue squad or volunteer fire department of the donor’s choice.
