Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Oct. 11 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. M. Andrew Davis officiating. Interment followed at the church cemetery.
He was born Dec. 30, 1962. He confessed Christ as his personal savior and was a member of Pleasant HIll Baptist Church.
He attended the public schools of Anson County and graduated from Bowman High School in the year of 1981.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Earl; and uncle, Henry Clude Watkins.
He is survived by his mother and father, Shirley Brooks and Samuel Brooks of Baltimore, Md.; seven brothers, Phlander S. Little and Samuel M. Brooks of Baltimore, Algenon C. Little of Asheville, the Rev. Tony Tson of Ansonville, Patrick R. Brooks of Denver, Colo., Curtis Davis of Norfolk, Va., and Cleveland Chilsolm of Wadesboro; five sisters, Shirlene Denise Alexander of Nashville, Seanee (Derrick) Alexander of Gibsonville, Carrissima (Westley) Martin of Lilesville, Laura (Charles) Perry of Columbus, Ohio and Coraina Garris of Chapel Hill; grandmother, Birda Watkins of Ansonville; aunts, Betty Stanford of Indianapolis, Ind., Wilhelmina Roberts of New York, Addie Mae Robertson, Thelma Watkins and Phyllis Watkins of Ansonville; uncles Robert (Ada) Tyson of Ansonville; and a host of other relatives and friends.
The services are in the care of Smith's Funeral Directors.
