The Summer Jam concert series was back for an encore.
"Natural Reaction" performed Sept. 11 on East Wade Street. Dozens of people sat in and along the street to take in this late summer performance. The air was a little cooler and the sun was a little lower, but the show was just as good.
On the eighth anniversary of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, an American flag backdrop was illuminated by the setting sun.
"I hope everyone remembers what happened eight years ago today," singer Joey Adams said.
There was a booth for children to get their faces painted and a table with drinks and food on sale.
The show only got better as the evening wore on, event organizer Carly Little said.
Even before the band played, there were people doing dances like "The Electric Slide" in the streets.
