Steven Darrell Blue, 45, of 126 Salem Drive, Rockingham, died Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2009, in his home.
A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 28, in the Bobby Lammonds Memorial Chapel at Russell-Marks Funeral Home with Pastor Carl Vierling officiating. Interment will be private.
A lifelong resident of Richmond County, Darrell was born Dec. 26, 1963, to the late Robert G. Sr. and Helen Norton Blue. He was a retired electrician.
He is survived by a son, Jeremy Blue, of the home; two daughters, Amber Blue and Hayley Blue, both of the home; a brother, Robert G. Blue Jr. of Hamlet; and two sisters, Lisa Blue Vierling of High Point and Iris Blue Hildreth of Wadesboro.
The family received friends immediately following the service at Russell-Marks Funeral Home & Cremation Service.
