Charles Alexander Morrow, 58, died June 25, 2009, at Carolinas Medical Center— Union.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. June 30 at New Zion Missionary Baptist Church with Bishop Glen L. Rorie Sr. officiating. Visitation was at 1:30 p.m. Interment followed the service at Williams Cemetery in Polkton.

Morrow was born Oct. 15, 1950, to Emma Morrow and the late James Morrow Sr. He gave his life to Jesus Christ at an early age and joined New Zion Missionary Baptist Church.

He attended East Polkton School and graduated from Bowman High School. He attended Livingstone College of Salisbury and received a degree in history. He worked at Southern Fabricators, Inc. of Polkton for many years and Square D of Monroe until his health failed.

He is survived by his mother, Emma Morrow, of the home; brother, James Morrow Jr., of the home; sister, Tammy (Leon) Morrow White of Monroe; and a host of other relatives and friends.

The services are in the care of Smith's Funeral Directors.
