GAFFNEY

Nancy A. Aycock, 72, died June 23, 2009, at Hospice House of Union County.

Memorial services were held at 4 p.m. June 25 at First Baptist Church in Gaffney. The family greeted friends at 3 p.m.

She was born in Fayetteville Oct. 21, 1936, to the late Clyde T. and Elizabeth Allen Aycock.

She was retired from the Cherokee County School system and enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, serving with friends at church and supporting Relay for Life.

She is survived by three children, Jane (Kevin) A. Caldwell of Charlotte, Renee (Jeff) A. Sorrells of Rock Hill, S.C. and Michael (Jessica) T. Aycock of Matthews; six grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
