The bride is from Peachland and a 1999 graduate of Anson High School. In 2004 she graduated from South Piedmont Community College and is employed as a data manager by Union County Public Schools.
She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Russell of Polkton.
The groom is from Polkton and a 1999 graduate of Anson High School. He is a 2008 graduate of South Piedmont Community College and currently attends Wingate University. He is employed as a machinist by Coffing Hoist in Wadesboro.
He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Spencer of Polkton.
The wedding was at 5 p.m. May 23 at New Home Baptist Church in Peachland. The Rev. Tommy Ross Jr. officiated.
The flower girl was Kyla Renee Wright of Marshville and the ring bearer was Jacob Tyler McIntyre of Ruby, S.C. Music for the ceremony was provided by Tammy Thomas on piano while Crystal Wright and Kirk Edwards were the soloists.
The ushers were Mitchell Brown of Wadesboro, Billy Spencer of Polkton, Jeremy Spencer of Polkton, Joe Locklear of Rockingham and Shelley Wright of Marshville. The reception was at Euto Baptist Church Family Life Center in Marshville.
The couple honeymooned on a western Caribbean cruise with stops in the Grand Cayman Islands, Belize and Honduras. The couple will make their home in Peachland.
