Virginia Waddell Martin, 90, of Ansonville died at her home April 26, 2009.

Services will be on Wednesday, April 29, at 10 a.m. graveside at Red Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Rodney Clements and the Rev. Ken Walker officiating.

Martin was born March 15, 1919, in Anson County to the late Jessie Henry and Mamie Curlee Waddell. She was a member of Red Hill Baptist Church and co-owner of Waddell & Martin General Store in Ansonville.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Brady Martin.

Survivors include her son, James “Buddy” Martin; her daughter, Edna Mills Vinson; one sister, Margaret Scarboro of Mt. Gilead; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Edwards Funeral Home of Norwood is serving the family.
