Funeral services were held March 31 at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Wadesboro with the Rev. Gregory L. Everett presiding. Interment followed at Westview Memorial Park.
He was born May 23, 1925, in Anson County and was educated in the local schools.
He wed the late Ida Cash on Sept. 3, 1944. They moved to Bridgeport, Conn., and lived there for 23 years. He was an active member of Messiah Baptist Church.
He returned to Wadesboro, where he joined First Baptist Church. He was active on the Deacon and Usher boards.
Pratt is survived by two sons, Robert. (Joyce) H. Pratt of Manning, S.C., and Roland (Geraldine) Pratt of Bridgeport, Conn.; three daughters, Glennie (Elvin) P. Jones, Francenya (John) P. Smith of West Hartford, Conn., and Garthalia Johnson of Monroe; six brothers, Thomas (Geneva) Pratt, Robert (Cheryl) Pratt, Timothy Pratt, Willie James Pratt, James Anthony Pratt and Eric Pratt; five sisters, Jeanette (Nathaniel) McCants, Betty Pratt, Shirley (Charles) Turner, Ethel Peterson and Dorothy Spady; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson; three sisters-in-law, Patricia (Floyd) Gaddy, Bette Tate and Agatha Cash; one brother-in-law, Robert Cash; and a host of other relatives and friends.
