Kimberly Spencer and Tracy Small's earth science students at Anson County Early College (ACEC) recently recycled materials into new creative items. Students had to create a project that serves a purpose, which included art or a household item. The Earth Science students created purses made from jeans or place mats, art made from tin cans, clocks made from recycled fence posts and many other dynamic projects. The students sold their recycled projects at parent-teacher conferences and made $130. The money raised will be used by the science department to purchase materials for the Earth Science classes.
