We are proud of all the students who participated.” Sixth-grade students in Ernestine Gaddy’s (pictured right) homeroom at Morven Elementary School claimed all of the winning prizes in this year’s Martin Luther King Jr. Poetry/Essay contest, sponsored yearly by the Morven Chapter of Las Amigas, Inc. All students wrote poems on the topic “Yes I Can, Make a Dream Come True!” Torrance Monroe (second from left), won the first place cash prize of $25.
