N.C. Democratic Party gets new leadership

The North Carolina Democratic Party hosted its State Executive Committee meeting Feb. 2 at the Durham Convention Center. Over 800 energetic State Executive Committee members, “Fired up and Ready to move Forward” were present.
The new Democratic Party Chair is Randolph Voller from Chatham County. The new officers are as follows: Democratic Party Chair, Randy Voller; First Vice Chair, Nina Szlosberg-Landis; Second Vice Chair, Zack Hawkins; Third Vice Chair, Andy Ball; Secretary, Melvin Williams .
Anson County was recognized by the new Party Chair Voller. Vancine Sturdivant, Anson County Chair, received the certificate and stated, “She does what is best for the citizens of this great county and that Anson County will remain blue under her leadership.”
Several of the state officials, June Atkinson, Beth Woods, Senator Gladys Robinson, Cal Cunningham and State Secretary Elaine Marshall and others were on hand to greet the members.
Present at the meeting from Anson County was Vancine Sturdivant, Chair; Garletha Pratt, acting secretary; Lonnie Baucom, N.C. State First Vice-Chair; and Anna Baucom, County Commission Chair.
