A groundbreaking ceremony for the new Anson County Emergency Services Center will be held Friday at 1 p.m. The site of the new center is 2230 Country Club Road, Wadesboro.

Anson County’s Board of Commissioners will be on hand with seven ceremonial shovels to break ground on the new 24,000-square-foot facility.

The emergency services center will house Emergency Medical Services (EMS), the Fire Marshal/Emergency Operations Director and 911 Call Center. The $3.6 million project is expected to be completed later this year.
