Anson New Tech is in the process of writing a book based on the school’s values and what the staff and students hope for the future of Anson New Tech.

Teachers Andrew Bushor and Alyson Wint, and Chris Stinson, the principal of Anson New Tech, all came together and came up with the idea of the book.

“The fact that we have a lot of visitors and a lot of interest from outside education institutions of how we got here today, maybe if we could capture it in a book it would be three fold, it would let people know how we got here, insight to student that weren’t here in the beginning, and give revenue to the school,” Stinson said.

They hope that it will be a way that people can better understand Anson New Tech, more than just the academics that are taught, but also the culture of the school. “It would be a tangible way for outsiders to understand the culture, history and philosophy of the school,” Bushor said.

“A complete picture for what New Tech is from the teaching, parent and student standpoint. A complete picture of how New Tech works,” Wint said.

The students are in charge of completing the book. They are assigned their topics or “chapters” of the books and they are to conduct interviews from different people to put into the book.

The book is still in progress.
