Nancy Elizabeth Ratliff Shelton, 84, died March 16, 2009 at Anson Community Hospital.

The family greeted friends Thursday from 5 p.m. until 6 p.m. at Leavitt Funeral Home. A private interment will be at a later date in Morven Cemetery.

She was born in Anson County March 29, 1924 to the late Cliff and Ethel Adkinson Ratliff. She was a retired school teacher and a member of Morven United Methodist Church.

Her husband, Edward K. Shelton, preceded her in death.

Surviving are her sons, Jerry Ratliff Shelton of Morven and Kenneth Edward Shelton of Chester, Va.; and her brother Dr. Cliff Ratliff of Baltimore, Md.

Memorials may be made to Morven United Methodist Church, 411 E. Main St., Morven, NC 28119.
