MONROE— Mary Louise Pinson, 95, died on Dec. 27, 2012 at Hospice of Union County.

Pinson was born Oct. 24, 1917 in Anson County, daughter of the late Charles and Anna Carpenter Melton. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Pinson, and siblings, Evelyn Sill, Ray Melton and Grover Melton.

Visitation will be held Monday at the McEwen Funeral Home of Monroe. Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mary Louise will follow in the McEwen Colonial Chapel, with her pastor, Rev. Paul Saleeby, officiating. Interment to follow in Anson Memorial Park in Wadesboro.

Survivors include one daughter, Brenda Walden of Monroe; one son, Rick Pinson and wife Cheryl of Ravenna, Ohio; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sister, Myrtle Melton Howell of Norwood; sister-in-law, Rachel Gordon of Forest City; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be sent to Benton Heights Presbyterian Church Building Fund, 2701 Concord Hwy., Monroe N.C. 28110.
