It was another winning weekend for the Anson JROTC cadets. On March 7, the JROTC Bearcat Drill Team and Color Guard traveled to Lee High School in Sanford for the annual Lee County Tri-Meet.

Anson did well against the 16 schools there and brought home a total of five trophies. When the final scores were tallied, the Bearcat Color Guard team took first place and the Drill Team brought home two first-place and one second-place event trophies.

The team took third place overall. The Anson cadets are on the road again March 21 when they travel to Independence High School in Charlotte for the annual Patriot Classic.

It’s the last meet of a fine season for the cadets as they hope to defend last year’s overall champion title from the classic. Come on out and support your Anson JROTC cadets.
