A huge crowd turned out for this year’s People Fest, held all day Saturday in uptown Wadesboro. There was live music on the square, and other performances on two other entertainment stages. Kids could also pick up free books from the Anson County Partnership for Children, or bounce around in one of several bouncy castles.

Plenty of goodies and tasty treats were also available for all ages, from more than 100 vendors that lined Wade and Greene streets.

People Fest ended with a performance by the White Chocolate Band Saturday night at the Ray Shelton Ball Field.

Full story and more photos can be found in this week’s issue of The Anson Record.
