Anson lost another tough game against Weddington Friday night in Matthews, with a final score of 31-6.
Both teams remained scoreless through the first quarter. Anson scored its first and only touchdown in the second quarter, with junior Jekev Robinson scoring the Bearcats’ lone 6 points. The kick for the extra point was no good.
The Warriors on the other hand, also scored their first touchdown in the second quarter, but went on to score another touchdown in the third quarter, and two more in the final quarter.
The Bearcats’ record now stands at 2-6, as they host Marvin Ridge Friday night for Anson’s Homecoming game.
