The Bearcats took another beating in a 56-28 loss Friday night against Sun Valley in Monroe.
Anson scorers included senior Bunyon Tyson, and juniors Jekev Robinson, Terrill Tillman and Allen Campbell. Manuel Alonso also scored two additional point kicks during Friday night’s game. Rushing totaled 236 yards, but two offensive fumbles mired the Bearcats’ game.
The loss puts the Bearcats’ record at 2-5. They travel to Weddington this Friday night. The Warriors are coming off a 35-7 league win over Parkwood , and have a 5-1 record.
The Bearcats’ Homecoming game will be the following Friday. On Oct. 12, at 7:30 p.m., they will face off against Marvin Ridge.
