Goose Creek — William Earl Sings, 79, of Goose Creek, passed away Sept. 3, 2012 at his residence.

Sings was born Nov. 4, 1932 in Wadesboro to the late William Eben Sings and Cora Mae McRorie Sings. He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force and retired in 1971.

Sings is survived by three sons, Michael G. Sings (Karen), David E. Sings and Richard E. Sings; two grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, three step-grandchildren; one sister, Doris Ricketts (Benjamin); and seven nieces and nephews.

A memorial service was held on Sept. 10 at noon at Beaufort National Cemetery in Beaufort, S.C.
