MARSHVILLE– Albert B. Hathcock, 85, died Aug. 30, 2012 at Autumn Care in Marshville.

Born July 18, 1927 in Stanly County, he was a son of the late John Leonard Hathcock and Mary Lou Ingold Hathcock. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Mary Dean Hathcock.

A funeral service to celebrate the life of Hathcock will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Mt. Moriah UMC with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 5-7 p.m. at the Morgan & Son Funeral Home.

He is survived by his son, Robert Hathcock of Marshville; daughters, Rhonda H. Allen of Norwood and Angela H. Thomas of Marshville; brothers, Junior Hathcock, Kenneth Hathcock and Jesse Hathcock, all of Albemarle; sisters, Bernice Doby and Betty Jean Mauldin, both of Albemarle; grandchildren, Kris Hathcock, Jared Allen, Pamela Sullivan, Heather Smith and Darren Thomas; great grandchildren, Nathan Baucom, Hunter Smith and Presley Hathcock.
