Benjamin James Sellers, 75, died Feb. 11, 2009 at his residence.

Funeral services were held Feb. 16 at 1 p.m. at Nazareth Primitive Baptist Church in Charlotte. Visitation was from 12:30-1 p.m.

Interment was at Forest Lawn Cemetery.

He was born Jan. 1, 1936 in Wadesboro to the late George Prince Sellers and Lula Mae Sellers.

He attended the public schools of Anson County. He confessed Christ at an early age and was a member of West Deep Creek Baptist Church.

Sellers was employed by Siecor, Inc. for many years before taking an early retirement.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Jeanette Sellers.

He is survived by his wife, Jerelean B. Sellers; five children, Bertram (Maxine) J. Sellers, Dora A. Sellers, Kenneth (Brenda) L. Sellers of Charleston, S.C., Tony R. Sellers and Shirlane (Brian) Sellers-Smallwood; 22 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; four brothers and sisters; and a host of other relatives and friends.

The services are in the care of Smith's Funeral Directors.
