John Thomas Russell, 66, died Feb. 20, 2009 at his home.
Graveside services were at 2 p.m. Feb. 22, 2009 at Anson Memorial Park with Rev. Curtis Williams officiating.
The family greeted friends at 1 p.m.
He was born Sept. 4, 1942 in Anson County to the late Otto Goldman and Annie Privette Russell. He was retired from Hornwood, Inc.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers and sister, Charles and James Russell and Doris Tyson.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Harrington Russell of the home; his son, John Edward Russell of the home; and his brother and sister, Lloyd Russell and Shirley Huntley both of Wadesboro.
