Property tax bills mailed to residents

Anson County 2012 property tax bills were mailed to taxpayers on Aug. 7.

Property tax bills are due Sept. 1 and considered delinquent Jan. 7, 2013. Tax bills can be paid in two ways. Taxpayers can mail their payments to Anson County Government Center, 101 South Greene Street, Suite 115, Wadesboro, NC 28170, or pay in person at the Anson County Government Center between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. weekdays.

Payments postmarked after Jan. 7, 2013, will be considered delinquent and assessed 2 percent interest for the first month, 3/4 percent for all months thereafter until paid. Delinquent taxes will be advertised and a $10 per tax bill assessment will be applied.
