Myrtle Lee Deese Parker Yow, 68, died Aug. 12, 2012 at Lillie Bennett Nursing Center.

Funeral services were held Aug. 15 in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home. Interment followed at Morven Cemetery.

She was born June 18, 1944 in Anson County to the late Watt Thomas Deese and Bessie Lee Purvis Deese. She was retired from Anson County Schools.

Surviving are her children, Dale Parker of McFarlan, Eugene Parker and Wendy Jones, both of Lilesville, Linda Mullis of Rockingham and Roy Dale Yow of Polkton; and her sister, Hazel Adams of Polkton.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, William Bryant Parker, Sr. and Roy Lee Yow; her children, Cindy Yow and Junior Parker; and her brothers and sisters, Junior McKenzie, Arthur McKenzie, Thomas Deese, Alice Quick, Catherine Lee, Lilly Watts, Margie Lockler and Betty Jean Deese.
