Hudson wins Republican nomination in Second Primary

Richard Hudson defeated Scott Keadle in the July 17 Second Primary.

Hudson received 10,635 votes while Keadle won 6,073 votes. Hudson won the Republican nomination and will now face Congressman Larry Kissell in November.

The ballot featured several Republican races. Mike Causey defeated Richard Morgan in the battle for the Commissioner of Insurance nomination, with Causey earning 80,704 votes while Morgan netted 59,910 votes.

Ed Goodwin defeated Kenn Gardner in the battle for the Secretary of State nomination. Goodwin received 74,252 votes and Gardner earned 62,044.

John Tedesco won the nomination for Superintendent of Public Instruction. He won 75,366 votes versus Richard Alexander, who received 63,119.

The Democratic ballot only featured the battle for Commissioner of Labor between Marlowe Foster and John C. Brooks. Brooks won the nomination with 31,216 votes while Foster received 26,431 votes.
