Three children and a man were killed in a Sunday morning accident on N.C. 52 North between Wadesboro and Ansonville.

A family of five were in a 2001 Audi, driven by Ryan O'Neal Robinson of Ansonville, traveling south. A 2007 Chrysler van, driven by Cheryl Powell Bailey of Wadesboro, was traveling north and crossed the center line, hitting Robinson's Audi head-on. Both vehicles were on their way to church for Sunday morning services, said Janet Ross with the N.C. Highway Patrol.

Robinson and the three children-- his daughter, Latavia Robinson, 15, and grandchildren, Latresha Wall, 13, and Taleya Wall, 10-- were all killed. The children, who were in the back seat, were not wearing seat belts, according to police.

Ryan Robinson's wife, Rose Lindsey Robinson, was in the front passenger seat and is currently at Carolinas Medical Center-Union for treatment of her injuries. Bailey was also injured and is at CMC-Main.

The Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the crash, and charges are pending. Ross said the full report will likely take several days to complete.
