Pee Dee Electric reported more than 600 customers in the Marshville area without power on Sunday around 7 p.m.
“The storm left trees down as it passed through our area,” said Mark Rhyne, director of engineering and operations. “There were poles broken causing several spans of wire down.”
Crews worked through the evening to restore power as quickly and safely as possible.
