Republicans from Anson county and the Pee Dee Republican Women hosted a special meeting on June 26.

Three candidates were among the 35 in attendance at the Hampton B. Allen Library: John Nance, for District Court Judge, Mark Brody, for North Carolina House, and Gene McIntyre, for North Carolina Senate

Each candidate was presented with two donations from both the Women’s Club and the Anson County Republicans.

The 8th District Republican Chairman, David Black, was on hand to celebrate the evening with the candidates. He claimed that half-truths were being expressed by the opposition candidates. He cautioned party members not to respond in kind but to stick to the issues, the facts and remain truthful.
