Lina Simpson Springer Hildreth, 88, died Feb. 21, 2012 at Ambassador Health and Rehab in Wadesboro.
Memorial services were held at 3 p.m. Feb. 25 in Cedar Hill United Methodist Church.
She was born in Anson County April 2, 1923 to the late Andrew Jackson and Bessie Simpson Springer. She worked through the years in a variety of jobs that included West Knitting Mill, Hendley Oil Company and the Ansonville Lumber Company.
She was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Lance, Jim, Jack, Preston, Bettie Mae, Belle, Lilla and Mary.
Survivors include her husband of 70 years, George Houston Hildreth Jr.; a son, George W. Hildreth (Joyce) of Eden; and two daughters, Mary H. Brammer (John M.) of Charlotte and Cynthia H. Little of Wadesboro.
