Norma Jean Thomas Marsh, 59, died .

Funeral services were held at Crossroads A.M.E. Zion Church in Marshville Jan. 9 at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Gerald Tillman officiating. Interment followed at the church cemetery.

She was born June 15, 1949, the twelfth child of 13.

She loved to spend time with her family along with getting dressed up and gathering with her classmates from East Union '68. She enjoyed cooking, providing music and taking pictures.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Margaret Beatrice thomas Huntley; and four brothers, Bill, Milas, Silas and Crinzel Thomas.

She is survived by her ex-husband, Mazo Marsh; daughter, Sandra (John) Miller and one special daughter, Cornelia "Ann" (James) Mack, both of Monroe; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Arden Allen of Lexington and Joyce (Aaron) Wilson of Monroe; five brothers, James (Mary) Thomas Jr. of Raeford, Walter (Evelyn) Floyd Thomas, Carrol Thomas, harold (Carolyn) Thomas, all of Wingate and Richard (Leuvenia) thomas of Pageland, S.C.; two sisters-in-law, Queen Esther thomas and Rosa Bell Thomas.

The services are in the care of Smith's Funeral Directors.
