Gary and Anita Gilmore of Wadesboro and Reggie and Cecelia Bowers of Polkton are pleased to announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their children, Jennifer Kay Gilmore and Joshua David Bowers.

Gilmore is a 2007 graduate of Anson High School and received her diploma in licensed practical nursing from South Piedmont Community College. She is employed as a licensed practical nurse at Anson Community Hospital in Wadesboro and is a member of Burnsville Fire Department in Polkton.

Bowers is a 2000 graduate of Anson High School and graduated from Montgomery Community College, where he received his associate degree in forestry. He is employed at Randall Supply Company in Monroe, and as an EMT with Anson Emergency Services in Wadesboro. He is a member of the Burnsville Fire Department in Polkton and also a member of the Ansonville Fire Department.

A June wedding is planned at New Home Baptist Church in Peachland.
