Ralph Edward Parrish, 66, died May 8, 2011 at his daughter’s home in Southern Pines.

Funeral services were held at 5 p.m. Monday in Leavitt Funeral Home with the Rev. Kenneth W. Jones officiating. Interment followed at Morven Cemetery.

He was born in Anson County on Nov. 30, 1944 to the late Lawrence and Ethel Grace Deese Parrish. He was a retired painter.

Survivors include his children, Carla Draffin of Sanford, Teresa Bunnell, Janice Gironda, Lisa Parrish, Betty Omahoney and Randy Parrish, all of Southern Pines; two brothers, Dr. Tom Parrish of Wadesboro and Steve Parrish of Elgin, S.C.; and a sister, Betty Harrington of Wadesboro.

He was preceded in death by one son, Jeremy Parrish.
