Wade Holmes “Sonny” Howard Jr., 69, died Jan. 27, 2011 at CMC Union.
Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. Sunday in Leavitt Funeral Home with the Rev. Bob Herron officiating. Interment followed in Bethel Cemetery.
Howard was born in Anson County on Oct. 21, 1941 to the late Wade Holmes and Margaret Jerman Howard. He was the owner and operator of Wade Howard Grading, Inc.
Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Charlotte Howard of the home; two daughters, Margaret Brooke Howard of Jacksonville, Fla., and Gretchen Michele Howard of Atlanta, Ga.; and a brother and sister, Richard Howard and Jean Howard, both of Polkton.
